My Event Cafe supports two different options for texting services, Twilio and ClickSend.  Both of these services have pros and cons for using them.  Here we'll try to describe the differences.


The ClickSend service is in BETA testing.  If you want to try it, send us a request at support@myeventcafe.com and we'll add the option to your account.



TwilioClickSend
Initial setup can be complicated and will take some time.  
Initial setup is fairly straight forward
Support/Help is mainly through email/ticketsHelp is quick through live online chat
Cost per text averages around 1¢ cent per segmentCost per text is approximately 2.7¢ cents per segment (cheaper when volume is higher)
Monthly Phone Number cost is about $2.00Monthly Phone Number cost is about $3.50
Incoming Text replies cost is around 1¢ cent per segment. Can only been viewed in the SMS history log.Incoming Text replies from your customer is FREE.   Can be viewed on the ClickSend Messenger Dashboard.

Overall:  10DLC registration can take some time and is sometimes difficult to get approved.  However the cost is reasonable and works well once the registration in done.Overall:  Sender Registration is not complicated and is usually approved within a few days.   However, the ongoing cost is more expensive than Twilio.
